New Deal

Here's the deal: Drew is trying to get me to enter the 21st century. We're not too optimistic, but we're forging ahead.

Anyway, stay tuned while I try to get by barefeet coordinated in cyberspace.

  1. 1.)I can readily answer that I am called to reach my family I guess you could call it "living my faith". I want to reach them with the love of God, the grace of Jesus, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Then I want to follow that with guiding them in common sense, reasoning, and responsibility. Ultimately to freedom and individuals of human worth and saints as God's tools for eternity.

2.) This is the HARD question for me! I am not "challenged" in answering number one by description but I am definitely CHALLENGED by the application of that call. I am aware that I fail miserably; on a DAILY basis. I can't for the life of me understand why God allows me to detract from HIM so much and go on this way. If I were Him, I'd call me out of the scene so that others could be REACHED!

I am also aware that aside from Christ and the Holy Spirit I can do NOTHING. But it seems so clear that is just what I am accomplishing; even when I think I'm stepping aside and LETTING HIM use me in His way and in His time.

    "What's a loser to do?"

NO COMMENT OR REBUTTAL IS NECESSARY. I just felt "compelled" to "communicate" and maybe start discussion... if that was the goal.

  2. I find that I am tempted to RUN from this calling to serve in other areas. You know, where I might experience more appreciation and kind responses but my plate is really full in the call so I know If I go elsewhere, I'd be acting like Jonah! I like to eat fish BUT I don't like the thought of being eaten by a fish so I can return to the job at hand... (?) Guess, I'll stay put.
